Our common gate valve, do you really understand it?

1. Gate valve structure: Generally, it is composed of valve body, valve seat, valve stem, gate, valve cover, and sealing ring. It can be transformed into a variety of electric gate valve and pneumatic by equipping the transmission device and gate valve. The gate valve can only be used for fully open and fully closed shut-off in the pipeline, and cannot be used for adjustment and throttling. Among them, gate valve bonnet. Everyone pays more attention to it. It has two functions: one is to position the valve stem to ensure that the valve stem normally drives and switches. The second is the sealing function, which has a certain strength to prevent the internal fluid from flowing out.
2. Gate valve function: The gate valve is mainly used for cutting off in the pipeline, connecting or cutting off the medium in the pipeline. The gate valve is mostly used to pass water. Generally, the cut-off device with a diameter of DND greater than 50mm uses it, and sometimes the gate valve is also used for the cut-off device with a small diameter.
3. The gate valve is used as a cut-off medium. When it is fully opened, the entire flow path is straight, and the pressure loss of the medium is minimal at this time. The gate valve is usually suitable for working conditions that do not require frequent opening and closing, and keep the gate fully open or fully closed. Not suitable for regulation or throttling applications. For high-speed moving media, the ram can cause vibration of the ram when it is partially opened, and the vibration may damage the sealing surface of the ram and the valve seat, and the throttling will cause the ram to be eroded by the medium. So choosing a good gate valve is very important.
