How many types of sealing rings are there for tri-eccentric butterfly valves?What are the differences between the three forms in operating conditions?

There are three types of sealing rings commonly used in tri-eccentric butterfly valves: PTFE, multi-layer metal sealing rings and integral metal sealing rings.PTFE seals are used in working environments where temperature is less than 180 degrees and pressure is less than 2.5 MPa.The multi-layer metal seal ring has good sealing performance and can achieve zero leakage. It is suitable for pure liquid or gas environment with low medium flow rate and no particulate matter. The use temperature is generally limited by the multi-layer sealant and does not exceed 300 C.The ensemble metal seal is suitable for high temperature and high pressure.

The temperature of the water in the pipeline is about 70 C. Can a soft-sealed butterfly valve be used?Can EPDM seats work at this temperature for a long time?

Ethylene propylene diene monomer EPDM can be used at - 20 - 120 C. In theory, EPDM can be used at 70 C.However, it should be noted that if the rubber gum produced does not meet the standard, the aging speed of EPDM will be accelerated and the service life will be shortened.

Full-lined fluorine butterfly valves are needed in factories. The medium in the pipeline is 93% sulphuric acid, the temperature is 20-30 C below zero, and the air humidity is 70%.How to select and configure.

The concentration of sulfuric acid is 92.5% (commonly known as 93% acid) because its solidification point is about 238.2K, i.e. - 35 ~C, which is safe for product transportation, it will not encounter the problem of filling pipeline.Therefore, all-lined fluorine PTFE, median structure, cast iron butterfly valve body material can be used in the above conditions.Carbon steel body and disc must be used if the pipeline pressure or instantaneous pressure is greater than 2.5 Mpa.
