What is a bellows steam trap?
Bellows Steam Trap

The bellows steam trap is a thermostatic steam trap with the bellows as the sensitive element. According to the different properties of the filling fluid in the bellows, it can be divided into two types: steam pressure type and liquid expansion type. The steam pressure bellows are filled with volatile liquids.

At first, most of them were used on heat sinks for low-pressure steam heating, and the working pressure was only about 0.3MPa. Later, they were also used in other steam equipment, and the working pressure gradually increased. The maximum working pressure can reach 3.7MPa, and the liquid expansion bellows are filled with non-volatile liquid with high linear coefficient, which can only be excluded in a certain condensed water at low temperature is suitable for steam systems with little or no change in pressure, and condensed water with a large degree of subcooling is excluded.

The maximum working temperature reaches 246°, the maximum displacement reaches 1800kg/h, and when the working pressure is as low as 0.45MPa, its the bellows are made of phosphor bronze, and when the working pressure is greater than 0.45MPa, the bellows are made of austenitic stainless steel. For steel, when the working pressure is greater than 2.5MPa, the material of the bellows is Monel alloy. The discharge temperature range of the liquid expansion steam trap is 60-100°, the maximum working pressure is 1.75MPa, the maximum working temperature is 232°, and the maximum displacement is 270kg/h.
