What is a V-ball valve?

Spherical valves include straight-through O-shaped cut-off valve (the flow characteristic is not good, generally used as a switch cut-off valve, and small-diameter ones are also used to adjust the width, which pays attention to the advantages of its shut-off tightness), V-shaped regulating ball valve , Double eccentric hemispherical net, three-way ball valve, four-way switching ball valve, etc. O-shaped ball valves are divided into fixed ball valves and floating ball valves according to different structural designs.

Floating ball valves have poor bearing capacity, but their sealing performance is better, and they are generally used in small diameters. For the fixed ball valve, the pressure difference is borne by the upper and lower shafts, which will not crush the sealing valve seat, so it has a large bearing capacity, long life and safety. Other types of ball valves are equipped with upper and lower shafts, which are similar to fixed ball valves.

Spherical valve, which uses the spherical net core to move and tangent to the boring seat, and the open flow area changes to adjust the flow rate. Its characteristic is that the flow path is the simplest.

When fully open, the flow path is the same as the pipeline, without any obstacles, the least resistance, the least pressure loss, the best self-cleaning performance, the largest flow capacity, the soft or hard seal structure is tight, and the leakage is small (the soft seal is basically zero leakage). Best functioning for all types of regulating valves, especially V-shaped ball valves.

The V-shaped port of the V-shaped regulating ball valve has a shearing effect when it rotates relative to the valve seat. For pulp and fibrous flow fluids medium can also be used very well, and its flow characteristics of approximately equal percentage, coupled with the tight sealing structure, the leakage is very small.

The fly in the ointment is that the frictional resistance between the spherical valve core and the valve seat is relatively large, so it needs to be equipped with an actuator with a large torque. For this reason, the increase of the caliber of the ball valve is limited, and the price is relatively high.
