What is three-way ball valve?
A three-way ball valve is a type of ball valve that has three ports or openings. It is a fluid control device that can be used to control the flow of liquid or gas in a piping system.
Three-way ball valves are typically made up of a ball, a valve seat, a stem, and an actuator such as a lever, handwheel, or gear.

There are T-type and L-type three-way ball valves. The T-shape can make the three orthogonal pipelines communicate with each other and cut off the third channel to play the role of diversion and confluence.
The L three-way ball valve type can only connect two pipelines that are orthogonal to each other, and cannot maintain the interconnection of the third pipeline at the same time, and only plays a distribution role.

Ball valve characteristics:
1. Pneumatic three-way ball valve and three-way ball valve adopt an integrated structure in structure, four-sided valve seat sealing type, fewer flange connections, high reliability, and lightweight design
2. The three-way ball valve has long service life, large flow capacity and small resistance
3. The three-way ball valve is divided into two types: single-acting and double-acting according to the action type. The characteristic of the single-acting type is that once the power source fails, the ball valve will be in the state required by the control system.

Ball valve advantages:
1. The fluid resistance is small, and its resistance coefficient is equal to that of a pipe section of the same length.
2. Simple structure, small size and light weight.
3. It is tight and reliable, and has good sealing performance, and has been widely used in vacuum systems.
4. Easy to operate, fast opening and closing, only need to rotate 90° from fully open to fully closed, which is convenient for remote control.
5. The maintenance is convenient, the structure of the ball valve is simple, the sealing ring is generally movable, and it is more convenient to disassemble and replace.
6. When fully open or fully closed, the sealing surface of the ball and the valve seat is isolated from the medium, and when the medium passes through, it will not cause erosion of the valve sealing surface.
7. It has a wide range of applications, with diameters as small as a few millimeters and as large as several meters, and can be applied from high vacuum to high pressure.

Way of working:
The three-way 4-seat ball valve with L-shaped flow channel adopts 2-seat. It is mainly used for the reversing of the flow path.
The three-way 4-side seat ball valve with T-shaped flow channel adopts 4-side valve seat, which is balanced in force to ensure reliable sealing on the closed channel. It is mainly used for diversion, mixed flow, commutation and complete opening of three channels.

1. Temperature: Three-way ball valves can operate at a wide range of temperatures, from low to high, depending on the materials used to construct the valve.
2. Pressure: Three-way ball valves are designed to withstand a range of pressure conditions, from low to high pressure. The working pressure of the valve must be considered when selecting a valve for a specific application.
3. Media: Three-way ball valves can be used with a variety of media, including liquids, gases, and slurries. The type of media and its characteristics must be considered when selecting a valve.
4. Corrosion: Three-way ball valves can be made from materials that are resistant to corrosion, making them suitable for use with corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, and saltwater.
5. Viscosity: Three-way ball valves can be used with fluids of different viscosities, depending on the flow rate and the valve design.
6. Flow rate: Three-way ball valves can be used to control the flow rate of fluids, making them suitable for applications that require precise flow rate control.
7. Actuation: Three-way ball valves can be operated manually, pneumatically, or electrically, depending on the requirements of the application.
